International Course on Laboratory Animal Science

The MUGEN management office would like to announce the first call for the International Course on Laboratory Animal Science. The course will take place at B.S.R.C “Alexander Fleming” from 24 September-5 October 2007. The objective of this course is to present basic facts and principles that are essential for the humane use and care of animals and for the quality of research.
The contents of the course are in line with recommendations of the Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations (FELASA) regarding the training of the young scientist whose research involves the use of vertebrate animals.

Transgenesis and Targeted Mutagenesis Course, Athens, Greece 

The MUGEN Transgenesis and Targeted Mutagenesis Course is being organised by the Biomedical Sciences Research Centre "Alexander Fleming" in Athens, Greece.

The course aims to diffuse unique knowledge and newly developed methodologies from individual laboratories and the NOE's Transgenesis Core Unit to individual reserachers both at pre- and post- doctoral level, offering complementary training in specialised, advanced technologies in transgenesis and gene targeted mutagenesis.

Gene Expression Profiling and Bioinformatics Course, Milan, Italy

The MUGEN Gene Expression Profiling and Bioinformatics Course is being organised by the University of Milano-Bicocca in Milan, Italy from February 20 to February 25, 2006.

The course has a practical character and will cover the whole process of microarray data analysis with special emphasis of Affymetrix oligonucleotide arrays. All concepts will be illustrated through hands-on interaction with publicly accessible web-tools and software.
